Is facial toner, like Sea Breeze, bad for your face?

Is facial toner bad for your face because of the alcohol in it? Does it dry your face out, or does it really help keep your face clean from dirt and oil. I have tried Which Hazel, but it doesn't feel as fresh. What do you know/what have you heard? Is facial toner, like Sea Breeze, bad for your face?
It depends on how super oily your skin is ... but usually, yes, alcohol is too drying for most skin types. Toners do not help keep you skin clean, washing with a gentle cleanser morning and night do that. There is an article in this months Real Simple about toners, and leading dermatologists say only the oiliest of skins need a toner. They do not shrink pores, contrary to popular belief. Unfortunately, that ';fresh'; feeling you are talking about probably means you are stripping your skin of too much moisture. That makes your skin create more oil (or sebum) and then you get more breakouts - it is a vicious cycle. Is facial toner, like Sea Breeze, bad for your face?
I use ocean breeze and it works wonders for me. b4 i go to school when my face gets oily, i scrub my face with a little bit of it on a cotton ball. then i take a little bit of moisturizer so keep it from looking dry.
Witch Hazel is fine. The reason the other seems better is because of the fragrance. What you might use is a moisturizer after.
