Thanks in advance! Is there a study that deals with physical differences (in appearance /stature /facial features) due to race?
Yes, biological anthropology. Differences in skulls and teeth etc are still routinely used to identify race.

It very much alive and kicking. The majority of anthropologists on this field actively support race as a valid concept, despite what you see in the media. I read a lot of stuff the biological anthropologists publish, and 'race is a social construct' will be met by a list of physical differences between race and recent DNA studies that show it's easy to identify someones race with a few DNA tests.

I agree with Mathilda and if they in turn get an admixture test it will often show they belong to several or more ';races';. Report Abuse
physical anthropology (or biological anthropology...same thing, different name). certain population groups (';races';) exhibit certain physical characteristics more so than others....this study is often applied to forensic anthropology to identify bodies. theres a program used to determine what population group a person is likely to belong to based on measurements of physical features of the skull. I think the program is called anthropac, i forget. haven't used it in a while.
Yes. i forget what it is called, but any function it used to serve has largely fallen by the wayside because of the ease of genetic attribute classification...
Those geeks who reconstruct monkey-man bones faces are in that sort of field, or are aquainted with the research.
Note: ';Race'; is largely a construct than an observational fact. There is more genetic vidersity within the old ';mongoloid'; classification of the '';race'; than there is between many caucasian and mongoloids. Skin color, eye folds, and size of cheak bones are genetic manifestations that barley skin the surface of all that can be genetically different amongst a people.
